Eli is definitely more vocal than the other boys were at this age. He is starting to say real words. For a while, we just thought it was a coincidence. But, he really is doing it. For example, he looked at Ben the other day and said very loud and clear "da da". He throws everything and says "uh-oh". He has also said puppy "pa-pe" in the airport while waiting for Jessi and the kids. On occasion, he tries to say "ma-ma" He copies the changes in our voices.
Last night, he covered his face and was playing "peek a boo" with us. He played it all night, and then he won't even attempt it today. It is weird, it seems like he will do something for a while, like patty cake or "so big" and then he will stop, like he doesn't know what the heck you are talking about! I wonder if all babies are like this?
