I am not sure if I have ever documented this.....
Isaac loves his soft blankies. He loves the fleece ones that he can rub on his lip while he sucks his thumb. The great thing about Isaac is that he is not picky at all. If he doesn't have a blanket, he will use anything else that is soft. He has been known to use a hat, the inside of Ben or my coat, a shirt out of the diaper bag. Here he is yesterday using Eli's sweatshirt.
Only Isaac....

'Estling Guys
Eli has discovered 'estling guys. To the untrained eye, they may look like army guys. Eli has transformed them into his own wrestlers. Yesterday at the wrestling meet and for most of church today, he made his guys wrestle. He is convinced they are wearing wrestling shoes. The wrestling guys do the moves that wrestlers do, shake hands and pin each other. The red one usually wins for some reason. Here he is playing 'estling guys while we were out to eat today after church...

Not the Baby
Eli loves to cuddle with me. After his nap, he crawled up on my lap. I was cradling him like a baby. I asked him if he was my baby. He told me "No, I not a baby. I Big Brother."
We have been talking about the baby a lot lately. It is becoming more real and he will be here before we know it. The boys are working on picking names out for him. I might as well let them pick a name....Ben and I are having a hard time choosing one. Maybe they will come up with something we like!

Wrestling....and the Cheerleaders
I took the boys to Ben's wrestling tournament today. We didn't go until this afternoon and they did very well in the bleachers. We only dropped about 25 things through the bleachers which meant the big boys took turns going under the bleachers that many times. It was the high light of the day for them!
Eli enjoyed listening to Evan's MP3 player with him. He thought he was pretty big stuff!
When the Huskies wrestled, Evan was so cute. I looked over at him numerous times and he would have his fingers crossed, watching very intently. He was pretty into it.
The boys always look forward to the end of the meet. There is nothing that they love more than going down on the mats and wrestling.

Eli was desperate to find someone to wrestle with. He kept going up to the high school wrestlers with his hands in position to wrestle. Then he decided to follow around the head coach's 3 year old daughter....asking her to "estle" with him. She was more interested in jumping like the cheerleaders. I had a hard time catching him chasing her.....

After the meet, Ben rode home with us. We decided to go out to eat in Charles City and grab some groceries. When we were eating, we were talking about the meet. Ben asked Evan who he liked to watch wrestle this year (Last year, it was Collin). He named a few of the better wrestlers that he liked to watch. Isaac leaned over to tell me a secret. He told me that "I don't watch the wrestlers, only the cheerleaders." Oh, Isaac.

No, Eli, I don't like your rocks.....
This is one of those things, you kind of had to be there....
A little background -- Eli starting calling his poop rocks this summer. I am not sure why, other than the fact that he pooped in toilet and looked at it. He described what they looked like, and I guess to him, they looked like rocks. Ever since, that is what he has called it.
Yesterday, I was changing a poopy diaper. I told him it was stinky. He plugged his nose, and then with a very sad face he said "You don't ike my rocks, Mom?" The face he made was so pathetic andn so sweet...so I told him "Yes, Honey, I like your rocks, they're just stinky" Really, I lied to him......

Ultrasound comparision...
Here is Eli's 4D ultrasound....
And here is Baby's....
We can definitely see some similarities. The three boys look so different....it is so fun to think about what the next handsome boy will look like!
Things overheard at the Kalainoff house the past few weeks....
*When changing Eli's diaper....
Me: "Eli, why is there a glue stick in your diaper?"
Eli: "That doesn't go there. That go in my pocket"
Me: "You don't have pockets, honey"
*While in church...
Eli: (While pointing to the Jesus statue hanging at the front of the church) "That Star Wars guy doesn't have a light saber"
Me: "That's not a Star Wars guy, that's Jesus"
Eli: (SHOUTING) "That Star Wars guy don't have light saber"
*While cleaning the basement....
Me: "Isaac, what are you shoving in the table"
Isaac: "Nothing"
Me: "Bring that here. Why are there bookmarks in the PARENTING magazine?"
Isaac: *giggle* "So I can show Evan"
(Isaac bookmarked two pages in the magazine so he could show Evan. One page was of a lady breastfeeding, the other was a Hanes bra/panty ad. HE'S FIVE YEARS OLD...we are in trouble)
*At Burger King.....
Nice lady: "And who are you?"
Eli: "I'm Yoda"
Nice lady: "I didn't hear what your name is, what is your name?"
Eli: "Yoda"
*Every day.....
Eli: "I Yoda. Isaac is Dark Gator"
Me: "Eli, why is there a glue stick in your diaper?"
Eli: "That doesn't go there. That go in my pocket"

I haven't done a very good job at keeping track of "life" lately. There has been a lot going on, but when I get a chance to sit down and do a post, my brain is just fried! I am going to give it a try tonight.......
Ben is VERY busy with wrestling and is gone most of the time. I hate that he misses the kids so much and I hate that we miss him so much too. He is enjoying wrestling and the kids enjoy going to the meets and watching him coach. The big boys have been going to practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Eli is sure that one of these days, I will let him go to....he really likes to "estle".
With Ben being gone every night until bedtime and every Saturday, things are rough around here. Not only is he gone at night, he has to go in to school early since he doesn't have a lot of time to get his school work done. I am tired....no......exhausted by the end of the day. The kids are wild, crabby, funny, loud, goofy, frustrating....it is hard to deal with on my own. I am doing the best I can, but we have definitely had some rough days and nights. We have also had some good days, too. Some days the boys are so good....I praise them up and down and hope it lasts. It usually doesn't, but they feel proud of themselves when they know I am happy. The good thing about this time is that there is an end. Wrestling will be over February 27th...so there is an end and it is closer each day. I am ready for that!
Being so busy has made this pregnancy go VERY FAST! I am already 25 weeks. At my appointment the other day, we talked about being induced at 39 weeks. It looks like right now, I will be induced on April 26th. Time is flying. Baby seems to be doing well. He is active, mostly at night. The older boys have both felt some kicks, and they talk about him all the time. They are excited to have a baby brother. Eli doesn't have a clue, but he knows that not only is baby brother "or dere" he is in "or dere in mommy's tummy" I am getting nervous he will never have a name! We are officially out of boys names and having a hard time agreeing on anything. Being teachers makes the name game that much harder! We have some ideas, but nothing set yet.

Mean Face
Eli has quite the mean face. When you ask him to show you his mean face, this is what you get....one of these two faces. I think he looks a bit posessed!

Clean Boys
This year for Christmas the boys received a very special gift. Grandma Sally made them all their very own bath robes. They love them! When I put Eli's on tonight after his bath, he was so excited. He told me "I needa dance". It was pretty funny!

Finished Product
We never really did much with Eli's room as far as painting. We painted it the neutral color that was in the rest of the house since we knew we would likely have another baby, and didn't know if it would be a boy or girl. Once we found out it was a boy, we thought it was only right to make the room a boys room. We painted the lower half blue and put a chair rail up. Eventually we will need to think about bringing the toddler bed up and moving Eli out of the crib, but for now, he is pretty safe in there....I would hate to see what he might get into in the middle of the night! Here is the room after the painting...minus decorations.
