Zoe Ruth Ann Lennnard

My brother, David and his wife welcomed Zoe Ruth Ann into their family tonight. She is just perfect! I can't wait to meet her tomorrow.

A Typical Eli look

There are many things about these pictures that are very typical for Eli....

Number 1:
He almost always has a scratch, scar, or bruise. He always looks beat up...Christmas was no different. He got bunged up and he ended up with a huge scab down his nose and a bruise and cut on his forehead (these were two separate incidents)

Number 2:
GOOF BALL!
He is always making funny faces, especially when we want him to act normal.

Number 3:
Those eyelashes. They get him out of a lot of trouble! They are long and they are thick and you don't notice them like you do Isaac's but man, once you do!

Christmas 2011

I don't have time for a full update...but here are the highlights.

Lots of smiles and happy boys!

Perfect weather for an outdoor picture. There is no way to get the 22 people in Ben's family in a picture inside. I brought my tripod and we were able to do a Kalainoff family picture.

There has been LOTS of Aunt Jenn time...

Cora Quinn's first Christmas. This is Ben's sisters little beauty. They live in California so this was the first time we got to meet her. We are all head over heels in love with her!

And the Lennard side...about to change. In a few days there will be one more baby girl in the picture.

And these two. They have a special bond and they are just hilarious to watch!

And Sweet Emma...practicing up to be a big sister to Zoe at the end of the week.

Christmas kickoff!

Our neighbor and good friend is a volunteer fire fighter. This morning he surprised his kids, nieces and nephews and the boys with a fire truck ride!

Your Favorite Kind

Last night I took the boys with me to finish up some Christmas shopping. We were in the BUSY checkout line at Target and Eli, in his not so quiet voice, points to a picture of the Royal Wedding on the cover of a magazine and says to Evan,

"Hey Evan, isn't this your favorite kind of boobies?"

Really, Eli?

The woman behind us had tears running down her face, she was laughing so hard. Glad we can provide entertainment for all we come into contact with.

My Handsome Boys

The older boys had their Christmas Program tonight. They looked so grown up and so handsome.

Isaac picked out his own outfit...when I clipped on his tie, he said "WOAH, I feel like a MAN!"

A good reminder...

Even on the toughest days...with sick kids and in the middle of wrestling season.

Gingerbread Man Project

Eli is loving school.....I mean LOVING it! He goes to preschool one day a week for 3 hours. He just can't wait for Wednesdays. Each night he asks, "Am I going to church, or school or Vickies?"

Last week he had a gingerbread man that he was supposed to cut out and decorate. He was so excited to do some homework...and did such a great job cutting and coloring his project. I am not sure when he got so grown-up! School has been really good for Eli...in many ways, he has grown up so much!

Coloring his Gingerbread Man.

And the final project!

Zeke Talking

Love

Last night at supper, out of nowhere, Eli said to Ben: "I love Mommy. When I grow up, I'm going to kiss her and marry her." No one had the heart to tell him that wouldn't be a good idea to marry me.

Oh Eli...I hope you always remember how much you love your mommy and daddy at age 4!

Nice and Ugly

Ready for the ugly sweater party...

This is what it's come to....

In order to get anything done and keep this boy out of trouble. Zeke thought it was funny for a few minutes...but then fought me to be free.

Talking

Zeke has been taking off with his talking lately. He is starting to say words that sound so clear. The other night, everything I said he would say "why?" just plain as day. I don't think he knew what he was meaning, but he knew the word.

This morning I was driving the kids to daycare and we drove by the bus barn and just as clear as could be he said "a bus". And repeated himself all the way to daycare. He recognizes any kind of ball and calls every vehicle a "wee oo" (like the sound of a siren)

When you ask Zeke a question, he will nod his head "yes" or "no". At night when I ask if he wants to go night night, he nods yes, goes to his bedroom and grabs him blankie. He knows exactly what you are saying.

The boys just thinks it is hilarious when he says things they can understand...so the more he talks, the more praise he gets. I think it is really going to take off even more very soon.
