Movie

I was crazy enough to attempt the movie with the boys last night. We have been struggling lately at home -- things have not been going very well and there has been lots of yelling, loss of patience and some not so pleasant times. This week has been surprisingly good and to reward them, I thought I would surprise them with the movie, The Lorax. The only night I could do it, Ben had a meeting, so I took them all...not sure what I getting myself into.

The boys did awesome! Even Zeke liked the movie. He sat on my lap the whole time. There were a couple times that he got restless, but not loud or annoying to other people.

During the movie, there was a construction scene. He saw the digger and yelled out "Mike, Mike!" (Our neighbor across the street has a skid loader and is a carpenter. It was so cute! Zeke has an eye for those things. Last week, we were in WalMart buying laundry detergent and he was pointing to the Purex shouting "Vickie, Vickie". He was just adamant about it. I finally sent her a text and asked what kind of laundry detergent she used. She said "Purex, why?" That boy is too funny !

One Year Difference

This was last year at the Mississippi River Museum.

And this was this year....I think it's funny that Zeke is still trying read that darn book! And I also find it funny that they are posed exactly the same. Everyone looks so big.

Things I don't ever want to forget...

1. I love how Eli says "Hide and Zeke" instead of hide and seek
2. I love the boys playing outside in shorts....

3.  I love that Zeke is trying so hard to be a big boy. It really is cute....as much as my heart wants him to stay a baby, it is fun to watch him grow and learn. I have fun thinking about the fun and adventures our family will have with our four boys!
4. I love how when something fun or exciting happens, the boys all tell me, one by one....even Ben. An example of this, the other day, Ben was going to change the oil in the mower. A mouse had made a nest in it so he had to clean that up first. One by one, the boys came inside to tell me...even Ben!

Happy Birthday, Grandma Rhonda! We love you!

Great Ending to Spring Break

We spent the last day of our Spring Break in Grundy playing with Emma and Zoe. It was one more chance to enjoy the awesome weather and to see our nieces/cousins.

Emma and Zeke are so cute right now. They are both in the stage where everything is new and they are learning so much. Both are starting to talk and suddenly, the 6 months between them seem smaller and smaller. I love to watch them play together and think about how much fun they will have as they grow up. I remember Sarah and Evan at the same ages and how fun that was.

Emma showing "The Boys" how you play bags. She was pretty sure they were just making it too hard...all you have to do is take the bag and put it in the hole!

Now Zeke is going to play along.

But really, he just wants to know what is in the hole!

And the hug...

for real...

I was hoping the crib escape the other day was a fluke. Tonight I am laying in his room waiting for him to fall asleep. My back was turned to him and I was ignoring him...I roll over and THIS is what I see...not a good picture because it's dark and I wanted to take it quick and then rescue him before he got hurt. This is a real problem...

Where's Waldo?

Published with Blogger-droid v2.0.4

First

Zeke is officially the first of the four boys to climb out of his crib. He has successfully climbed out of the pack and play numerous times, but never his crib. I just walked into the living room at the same time that his bedroom door opened. He apparently was done napping....

movie night

Usually we put Zeke to bed and then have movie night. Tonight the boys were getting their pillows and blankets and Big Z walked out of the bedroom with a pillow too! It's been 15 minutes and he's still laying there watching the movie too...little does he know, his bedtime is very very soon!

Spring Break

The kids aren't the only ones enjoying this 70 degree weather. Tucker is having a blast playing with the boys and all the neighborhood kids.

It is more action than he has seen in a while...he's been a lazy pup all winter!

And that tongue...seriously....could it get any bigger?

Zeke was loving the outside yesterday too...

And signs of Spring. Last fall, I planted a bunch of tulips around the house. I can't wait to see them. We noticed some popping up yesterday.
