New Years Eve

This year is the first year we haven't hosted a NYE party at our house for a really long time. Ben and I have both been sick with strep throat this week and felt like our break was cut short. The friends that we usually get together with were celebrating Christmas today so we decided to just hang out tonight. Jason, Alicia and the kids came up and played. We had an early toast since we will be celebrating Christmas tomorrow, everyone needs to get some good sleep tonight.

Here are the kids with their fancy glasses and sparkling grape juice.

Sarah is giving the toast....

CHEERS!

Happy New Year!

Barbie Dolls

I saved all my Barbie dolls and dolls for my children to play with. The problem with all boys is that the only thing they enjoy is taking all their clothes off and laughing...doesn't work out so well in a house full of boys. Needless to say, they don't get out of storage very often....

Until Sarah comes to town. The best thing about having a niece is being able to share my childhood "girl" toys!

Sunday Night

We had Ben's Grandma's Christmas on Sunday night. There are lots of kids, and it is always so fun to see everyone. Ben's brother, Brian and his family were sick so they couldn't come and Ben's brother Jason and his family weren't to Iowa yet so they weren't there either. Had they been there, it would have added 5 more kids! It is so fun to watch them since they really only see each other a few times a year.

Uncle Brent

I don't think Uncle Brent has ever had a post of his own. He sure is a good babysitter....as shown in the picture below. He "babysat" the babies so the Mommies could eat.

Emma looks pretty satisfied with the whole idea of him babysitting.

On Sunday, my parents hosted my extended family on my mom's side.

Here is Isaac helping with the potatoes. Helping in the kitchen is one of his all time, favorite things to do with Grandma.

And the post wouldn't be complete without a picture of Beautiful Emma.

Christmas with the Lennards....

We went to Grundy Christmas night to celebrate with my family. We had supper, opened gifts and then played games until late at night (early in the morning). There was LOTS of laughing and many stories and memories made.

Santa's Visit

The older two boys were up at 5:30 this morning...

We made them wait an hour for the little boys to wake up.
Here they are waiting patiently...
