The Boys
Tucker and Zeke don't get to see each other much. Tucker is still VERY puppy so I worry that he will accidently do something to him. Tonight after school I had Zeke out on the deck with me. Tucker came up, sniffed him, licked him and then plopped down in front of him and didn't move! I was quite surprised!
And the BOYS
Tucker is MASSIVE HUGE!
I love this picture. Evan is so attentive to his two youngest brothers. Eli is telling him about his worm that he has in his hand.

Zeke's 2 week check up...and Tucker's first night
We just got back from Zeke's two week appointment. We were all curious to see how much he weighed....apparently he is nursing well! He weighed in at 10 lbs. 13 oz! By two weeks, they usually want them back up to their birthweight....guess we did that plus 10 oz!
He checked out perfect. He continues to be a great baby....he cries when he is hungry or has to have his pants changed. He is a great 4th child. He goes with the flow and eats and sleeps well. He just fits so perfectly!
Tucker had a good first night at home too. We took him out at about 10:30 and didn't hear anything out of him the rest of the night. I got concerned that we hadn't heard him crying or barking so after I fed Zeke at 5 I went out to check on him. He went to the bathroom and wanted to play. I let him run around for a bit...then he cried for the next hour or so :( Evan heard him at 6 and went out to take care of him. He played with him for about an hour...he even ate his breakfast in the garage with him! He came back in the house and Tucker must have had a nap. Then when everyone was up, they all went out to play for a bit before school. I haev never seen kids so excited about scooping poop! I told the boys on the way to school to remember how excited they are to take care of Tucker....I am hoping it lasts!
Evan is really being so responsible. I hope that he can continue. He has fed and watered him, played with him, got right out of bed this morning to take care of him. Evan is so proud of himself and I think it is great that he is taking pride in taking care of Tucker. Like I said....I hope it lasts! I know once the excitement wears off, it will be harder to get them to do the chores, but I also know that they are very excited to have a puppy. Evan told me last night that he "has waited his whole life for this!" So cute......

Introducing.....
Not a new baby....
But the newest member of our family. Because you should always get a puppy when you have a newborn!
The boys have been asking for a couple of years to get a puppy and we finally decided that this summer might be a good time. The timing isn't great, as it will be ready for us to take him home the first part of May, but we did want to get one this summer. Ben and I went to pick him out tonight...and we fell in love with the fattest, biggest boy of all! So, here he is. The kids don't know yet, but we are planning on surprising them tomorrow.
Yes, we know we are crazy. But we also know that we have active boys that love to be outside and a dog would fit right in. He is going to be an outside dog.
We may be asking for trouble, but what's one more boy in this family anyway???
