Blogging Break

I think that gets us up to date....I didn't realize it had been so long since I had posted anything. For not working, we sure do find a lot of stuff to keep up busy. I have been running ragged these last two weeks as a single parent. Ben is in Iowa City taking a two week course on how to teach an engineering class that he will be teaching this school year. While a great experience for him, it has been quite challenging!

Summer Baseball

We fill our summer with baseball. The month of June had a baseball game four nights a week.

Not only did Evan and Isaac play baseball, Eli participated in the Summer Rec Program called "Bitty Ball". He loved it and still talks about it constantly. I think he liked being a part of a "team" like the big boys! It was hilarious watching 3-4 year olds play baseball! The coaches did a great job keeping them all entertained and controlled!

Family Day

After Ben was done shingling my parents' house, we decided to take a day and have a family fun day. We headed up to Decorah and stopped at Fort Atkinson along the way.

The boys (Dad included) love to climb the rocks. Zeke and I hung out at the bottom.

And of course, we had to visit the fish hatchery.

Eli

I very rarely get good pictures of Eli. He is usually being naughty and making weird faces. I caught him off gaurd and I am super happy with how these turned out.

The Roof

Of course the kids wanted to be on the roof. I was not in agreement of this, but Ben assured me they would be fine.

We found the only thing that Eli is afraid of....being on a roof.

And apparently when you turn 8 and 10, they teach you how to shingle.

Isaac's 8th Birthday

We spend Isaac's birthday in Grundy since Ben was roofing my parent's house. He had to wait until we got there to open his presents....and it was KILLING him!

 A new bike helmet.

Looking for his present outside

Found it!

A new bike!

One handsome 8 year old!
