Introducing.....

Not a new baby....

But the newest member of our family. Because you should always get a puppy when you have a newborn!
The boys have been asking for a couple of years to get a puppy and we finally decided that this summer might be a good time. The timing isn't great, as it will be ready for us to take him home the first part of May, but we did want to get one this summer. Ben and I went to pick him out tonight...and we fell in love with the fattest, biggest boy of all! So, here he is. The kids don't know yet, but we are planning on surprising them tomorrow.

Yes, we know we are crazy. But we also know that we have active boys that love to be outside and a dog would fit right in. He is going to be an outside dog.

We may be asking for trouble, but what's one more boy in this family anyway???

At least if it's an outside dog, you won't have to housebreak it, right? That's my fear with getting a dog around here. Pretty sure it's going to happen soon! Is he a Golden?

He is a Yellow Lab. And yes, he is going to be an outside/garage dog. We have so much space outside that he does not need to be inside. So, at least we don't have to do the housebreaking stuff. I can't wait to see your puppy...what kind are you looking at? A lab too? We told the kids last night and they are so excited to get him! We named him Tucker...we were worried that Eli wouldn't be able to say it and it would come out bad. We were right, he has a hard time saying Tucker, but instead of a naughty word, he is calling him Taco. :)

Yes, a yellow or chocolate lab is what we're looking into. Did you get it from a breeder? I'm reading on training them right now! SOunds pretty scary as they are such active dogs!! That and the poor thing won't know who to listen to...Camryn's really turning into a 2nd mother around here. Grrr! Can't wait to hear news of Baby Zeke's arrival!!
