Relief from the hot weather

The weather is TERRIBLE lately. It has been upper 90s and with the heat index, well into 100 or more. Sunday we woke up and as the morning went on and the fighting went on, we decided we needed to get out of the house. We had trouble deciding what we should do that would be nice and cool. At 10:30 we decided to make a trip up to the Mall of America. At 11:15, we were on the road to Minneapolis.

The boys were in heaven at the LEGO store.




They got to design their own guy.







No one wanted my guy... I thought he/she was pretty :( I couldn't get any takers!





They were so amazed at all the things made out of LEGOS.


So, that was our relief from the hot weather. The fighting hasn't stopped, but we did have a day away from home. I think this weather makes everyone a bit more touchy. It is miserable...The boys have too much energy to be cooped up inside. It is literally too hot to even be outside. Today we went to the lake and swam at the beach. That has seemed to help a bit. Hopefully after this week, there will be cooler weather ahead.
