Talking

Eli is talking so much lately and has started to put two and three words together. He LOVES truck and can name about any truck....dump truck, fire truck, tracky (tractor), bus, fork truck (fork lift), amby (ambulance), police car, motor cyc (motorcycle), big truck. He names the vehicles as he sees them. When he sees a police car, ambulance or fire truck, he names them and then makes the siren noise. 

The other night we were in his room getting ready for bed. I picked him up off his changing table and asked him if he was ready to go night-night. He said, clear as day "NO, PLAY TOYS"

Tonight we were outside and he was saying "mouse" We couldn't figure out what he was saying and what he meant. When I finally figured out he was saying mouse, he said "MOUSE BOOK INSIDE" He wanted to read Goodnight Moon. It has a mouse in it and he loves to read it before bed. His eyes lit up when I repeated what he said and he knew that I knew what he meant. 

He has also been saying "I SEE TRUCK" "I SEE BUS" and on and on...it is so cool to hear him name what he sees and really start to communicate with us.
